In the News
I'm so excited to be mentioned in a great article in today's Washington Post about collecting art on a budget. You can find the article in The Sunday Source or you can read it here. Happy Sunday!

I'm back! I've really missed you guys. Since I left off, I've been painting away here in my studio, working many pieces at once, taking my time, going whatever speed I pleased, and with less focus on the finished product. It was good for me to close my studio door and paint privately for a bit, but now I'm eager to get back to posting. I also took some time off in January to go home for the birth of my darling nephew, who has stolen my heart entirely.
I'm excited to be doing things a little differently this year. I'll devote more of my time to larger pieces. I want to keep going with the 6"x6" paintings, but I'll also be working in sizes all the way up to 20"x20". Compared to last year, my blog will probably have less regularity, but more variety.
I'm kicking things off with a large painting. I had a really great time with this one. I made a scale below so that you can see the proportion of the 20"x20" compared to my usual size of 6"x6".
No matter what size I'm painting, the return policy is the same-- if your painting arrives and it's not what you expected or wanted, you can return it to me within two weeks (undamaged, of course) for a refund.
It's good to be back. Thank you for your patience, your interest, and your support!

Hi Everybody,
We had our first snow flurries this morning, and I'm about to make myself some tea and then maybe a fire.
Thank you so much for writing me such sweet emails on my one year blog-iversary. That was a pretty big moment for me.
I'm feeling the need to work on some larger paintings and catch up on my commissions, so for the next month I think I'll take a little break from posting, not from painting. I'll keep on working away in the studio, and I'll start posting again after the holidays (and after my precious nephew is born). When I come back to my blog, I might mix it up a little, continuing to paint dailies, and sometimes taking a whole week to do one larger painting.
If you haven't already subscribed to my blog over there on the right sidebar, I encourage you to do that, just so you won't have to remember to check back in January. That way, my new paintings will be automatically emailed to you.
I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you in the new year! Your emails are always welcome.
Have a warm and wonderful holiday!
-Molly

8" x 8"
watercolor, graphite, conte

Nevin Kelly Gallery
My blog turned one yesterday! And considering the holiday and the anniversary, this seems like the perfect occasion to say how all thankful I am for you, my dear audience. Thank you for watching my work, buying my work, and supporting my work. You're the reason I was able to paint around 175 pieces this year, and you're the reason I have very few pieces left in my studio. I love my job. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hi Everybody!
It completely slipped my mind to let you know that I've been visiting my grandparents this week. I left on Wednesday, and I'll be back in the studio this coming Wednesday. See you then! And thank you for checking in!
